Arcade, Casual, Puzzle

Welsh casual game studio Paper Giant Studios had a busy week; first they launched their official website and then they announced their first game, Seed Pod Shuffle . Paper Giant Studios is a casual game developer with a twist aiming to create casual titles that “emphasize creation, exploration and player choice.”

Seed Pod Shuffle looks like it will do a good job of fulfilling the studio’s mission statement. Billed as belonging to the match 3 puzzle genre, the game centers around a lost animal named Jasmine. As you progress, you will help Jasmine build a home for the winter by planting seeds to grow plants which attract exotic animals. Each new animal brings a special ability to the match 3 gameplay. Players will be able to experience the story through over 80 levels in 3 different game modes, including Timed, Untimed and free play. The game is targeted for the 35-and-over female group that dominates the casual game audience, but the exploration and constructive elements that make Seed Pod Shuffle so original, in conjunction with its dream-like art style, make Paper Giant hopeful that the game will find a home with players of all ages and genders. No date has been announced yet for the release, with the website only declaring that the title is “coming soon”.
