Pac-Man Finds New, Permanent Home At Google

Arcade, Industry

Remember when the entire world became unproductive last week when Google replaced their logo with a playable version of the 30 year old game? Well, put away those tissues because Google Pac-Man is here to stay.

In celebration of the 30 year old Pac-Man, we told you about how Google had developed its own version of Pac-Man to display on their home page. The game stayed there for a few days, but then disappeared at sometime over the weekend, bringing back the traditional Google logo.

Well, the Pac-Man Google game still exists and will now live at Google.com/PacMan. The official Google blog announced the permanent home:

We’ve been overwhelmed — but not surprised :) — by the success of our 30th anniversary PAC-MAN doodle. Due to popular demand, we’re making the game permanently available at www.google.com/pacman.

Thanks to NAMCO for helping to make this wonderful collaboration happen. Enjoy!

There you have it, and we promise not to tell your boss.
