Earlier today, O-Games announced a new title, Superstars V8 Racing. As O-Games is a developer of social, casual, and family-friendly games, Superstars V8 Racing reflects that, with pick-up-and-play convenience not traditionally found in other, more hardcore racing titles.
The game will contain 18 vehicles on the track at once, in every race. You can play either offline singleplayer or online, going head to head against up to 7 other drivers. While the game contains real cars from real manufacturers like Audi, Chevrolet, Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar, and Chrysler, the gameplay is set to retain more of an arcade style, rather than dive into the complex world of in-depth simulations.
This isn’t to say that the title is entirely devoid of deeper elements, as you can still fine-tune you car. However, it seems that these options will be just that – options. For those who want to spend hours tweaking fine-tuning their vehicles, you apparently can, but if you’d rather not, you can also jump straight into racing.
“Racing fans around the world can become a Superstars V8 Racing circuit driver and enjoy endless hours of competition in single and online multiplayer races,” says Greg Lanz General Manager of O-Games, Inc, via a company press release. “Official circuit tracks, top branded European and American cars, and fine tuning capabilities hits that sweet racing spot between simulation bliss and arcade fun.”
Superstars V8 Racing will be released on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 sometime this summer. The game already has an official website – be sure to check it out if you’d like more information.
