New Study Shows Users’ Dissatisfaction with Blackberry

Android, iPhone, Mobile

According to a study by Crowd Science, 40 percent of current Blackberry owners would rather have iPhones, and a complete third of the group polled would rather own a Nexus One.

While these figures are, of course, not indicative of the entire mobile phone landscape, they are quite telling, and show that some Blackberry users, perhaps those that are forced to using the smartphone for work, would rather have a phone with the added conveniences allowed by both the iPhone and the Nexus One.

“These results show that the restlessness of Blackberry users with their current brand hasn’t just been driven by the allure of [the] iPhone,” says Crowd Science CEO John Martin, as reported by Mobile Marketing Watch. The figures show deep dissatisfaction with BlackBerry that goes beyond simple jealousy of the attractive iPhone user interface.”

This becomes even more striking when compared to the survey’s other results – that 90% of Nexus One and iPhone users plan to continue with their current brand the next time they’re in the market for a new phone. For the Blackberry, that figure was a mere 32%.
