New Pre-Orders for iPad 3G Will Ship by May 7

Wed, Apr 21, 2010

As reported by MacWorld, Apple’s US store has confirmed that new pre-orders for the 3G iPad will ship by May 7. To be especially clear, an informal survey shows that existing pre-orders are still listed as “late April” for their shipping date, so this appears to just affect new pre-orders.

While US consumers will only have to wait until the beginning of May to get their hands on their new toy, international consumers will have to wait until the end of that month for the device to officially go on sale in their foreign markets.

International price points for the iPad are expected to be announced on May 10, when international pre-orders will also begin.
