Ready to unlock some new achievements? Kongregate’s newest featured game is a rather delightful twist on a familiar casual standard, in the form of Bubble Tanks Tower Defense. Hero Interactive’s newest addition to the Bubble Tanks lineup has all the standard features of a typical TD excursion, including the usual creep types, maze construction, and so on, with one vital exception: When you build a tower, there is only one type to choose from.
From there, the evolutionary paths of the Bubble Tanks games goes into effect; each placed tower can be upgraded into one of several different strains, including splash damage, slowdown, and more. Further, if four towers in a square cluster are all upgraded to the top level of any path, they can all be merged together into one devastating mega-tower. A number of level variations round out the game, making it an excellent take on a heavily populated genre.
