FarmVille, Social

Zynga’s celebration of the Southwestern United States continues in FarmVille today with the release of new items, including new crops and decorations. Speaking of new crops, there are two new varieties available to grow – the Nopales and Agave plants. Both crops grow in 16 hours time. The Nopales can be planted for 80 coins per square, and you’ll earn one point of experience for each seed you plant, while the Agave is planted for 120 coins per seed and also rewards a single experience point for planting. When it comes time to harvest, the Nopales sell for 200 coins, while the Agave goes for 240 coins per square.

Meanwhile, on the Buildings tab of the marketplace, you’ll find two new adobe themed buildings, an Adobe Home and an Adobe Cottage. The Home costs 30 Farm Cash and can be kept for use on your own farm or sent to a friend, while the Adobe Cottage costs 50,000 coins, and it for use on your farm only.

Continuing on, the Decorations tab has five new items available to purchase: a Giant Ant Hill for 4,500 coins, Woody’s Cactus for 30,000 coins, a Birch Tree for 5 Farm Cash, Petrified Wood for 1 Farm Cash and a Cactus Cluster for 2,000 coins. As Farm Cash items, both the Birch Tree (which is a decorative tree, unable to be harvested from) and the Petrified Wood can be sent to friends, or kept for use on your own farm.

There are still 28 days left in the Southwestern item theme, and we’re guessing Zynga will expand the list of available items even more in that time. We’ll be sure to bring you details of any further items that are added to the theme, if and when Zynga does so.  In the meantime, head over to the FarmVille game page on Facebook to browse through these new items.
