New FarmVille Crops: Valentine’s Day Roses

FarmVille, Social

To go along with the new heart-shaped hay bales, Zynga has released a set of three new crops that are sure to put you into a romantic mood for the upcoming Valentine’s Day holiday.

What better way to fill your farm with that loving feeling than with the traditional gift of choice: roses. You have three types to choose from, with each having a different level requirement to unlock.

The Yellow Roses are your starter roses, which come at a relatively cheap price point – 20 coins for each plot seeded. After growing for two days, the Yellow Roses can be sold for 200 coins, leaving you with a profit of 165 coins per square, after factoring in the plowing fee (15 coins).

White Roses offer a bit more profit, and take less time to grow. Available for 75 coins, the roses grow in one day, and can be sold for 275 coins, for a final profit (again, after plowing fees) or 185 coins per plot of land.

Last but certainly not least, the Fire & Ice Roses will grow for 16 hours, at a cost of 150 coins per square. After taking away the plowing costs, each square of these roses grown will net you 185 coins. While the profit here may be the same as with the White Roses, in my very humble opinion, they are pretty enough to be worth it, if only to see your field full of them for a few moments before you harvest them.

The roses will only be available until Valentine’s Day proper, so be sure to head over to the game’s page soon if you’re interested in growing some of your own.
