New FarmVille Adoptable Animal: Llama

FarmVille, Social

The next time you play FarmVille, be on the lookout for a new adoptable animal, in the form of a Llama. This is the first new adoptable animal we’ve seen released in the game in some time, so for those who forget how the process works, here’s what to expect.

While playing the game, you’ll randomly receive a pop-up letting you know that you’ve found a lost llama. The pop-up will ask you if you’d like to help the poor creature find a home, or if you’d rather ignore it. Agreeing to help the llama brings up a news item that you can publish to your wall, alerting your friends to your discovery, and allowing them to click on the appropriate link to adopt the llama for themselves.

To be especially clear, when you come across a lost llama on your own farm, you aren’t receiving the llama; rather, you are allowing one of your friends to do so. That being the case, the only way you’ll be able to actually gain one of these llamas for use on your own farm is to be lucky enough to find one posted by one of your friends.

Once you adopt a llama in this way, you’ll be able to add it to your farm as you would any other animal.

Interestingly, it’s quite small, when compared to similarly sized animals in the real world – as you can see below, it’s actually downright tiny. Animals like the Grape Sheep and White Peacock actually dwarf it when standing side-by-side.

Whether or not Zynga will tweak the sizing to be more balanced remains to be seen. In the meantime, be sure to head over to your own farm for a chance to find one of these lost llamas yourself.
