MyTown & The Sims 3: Ambitions: iPhone Game Reviews

iPhone, Mobile

With so many games being released on the iTunes app store, it’s sometimes hard to keep up with which ones you should or shouldn’t be playing on your iPhone. Thankfully, we have the review round-up to show you the best games available on the app store, complete with summaries and reviews from all around the web.

If you haven’t checked out MyTown by now, let me inform you: MyTown is a check-in app that has you collecting points, items and properties. To collect a property, you have to have checked-in to it, and once you’ve done so you can upgrade it, make items with it and more. Once in a while, your properties will have accumulated a certain amount of rent which you can then collect and the cycle begins again.

In their review, GameZebo said MyTown is “pretty enjoyable to play, not to mention mildly addictive” and that they’re “not sure I could see myself playing with this for more than a week or so, but I could definitely see someone who plays games like Farmville or We Rule getting pretty thoroughly hooked.”

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Price: Free.

The Sims 3: Ambitions

Taking its title and concept from the latest expansion from the PC series, Ambitions is all about keeping you hooked and addicted as long as possible. You’ll be able to customize your sims to your liking and take them on a grandioso journey involving their wishes and how they are granted.

In their review, AppSpy said the game has an addictive quality and “the goal oriented gameplay that makes Ambitions such a great title and definitely a great pick for fans not already bored by The Sims in general.”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Price: $4.99.
