Miss Those Classic Arcade Sounds? Arcade Ambience has the Answer

Sat, Mar 27, 2010

If you’re like me, you remember spending time in the arcades as a child or teenager and taking in the sights and sounds of several games being played at once. While those days are gone, the sounds of them are still somewhat preserved thanks to the Arcade Ambience Project.

Arcade Ambience is a project dedicated to bringing back those old Arcade days with a few free downloadable mp3s that will surely bring back memories from the 80s or early 90s. The mp3s are packed with pinball sounds, mixed with the Hadoukens of Street Fighter II, explosions of Asteroids and various other bleeps and bloops.

Kotaku has done a masterful job at listing each one along with links to each mp3, so I do recommend checking it out.
