Meteor Games Introduces Player Avatars to Ranch Town

Facebook, Social

The next time you login to Ranch Town, be prepared for a bit of a startling occurrence. If you’re like me, and automatically start clicking on ready plots of land, you’ll be shocked to see that this time you’re not alone! As Meteor promised when first launching the game a few weeks ago, player avatars have been added to the game.

Your avatar is, as of now, a fairly lifeless little man, that has no real animation for planting seeds or harvesting crops, but we imagine that this is only temporary, and that Meteor will likely give him more life in the future.

Additionally, when adding or removing materials from your machines, your avatar stays stationary; that is, it doesn’t follow your movements. Whether or not that will be added in a future game update (also) remains to be seen.

For now though, the avatar is just sort of “there.” Your game functions in the exact same way, and doesn’t appear to have lost any speed; your actions are still carried out with the quickness we’ve come to expect from the game, we now just have an in-game representation of ourselves to look at while we work.

Head over to the game’s page to see your new avatar in action.
