Mashable Makes Year-End Social Media Predictions

Fri, Dec 4, 2009

pete-cashmore_mashableMashable’s Pete Cashmore is making his list and checking it twice… social web predictions that is.

Yesterday, CNN Tech posted Cashmore’s top 10 predictions for 2010, which are intended to encompass and define the web as a whole, but can just as easily be applied to social gaming in particular. Not to mention the fact that social gaming actually makes the list verbatim! So here goes, straight from the social guru himself:

  1. Real-time ramps up
  2. Location, location, location
  3. Augmented reality
  4. Content ‘curation’
  5. Cloud computing
  6. Internet TV and movies
  7. Convergence conundrum
  8. Social gaming
  9. Mobile payments
  10. Fame abundance, privacy scarcity
