Based on what our mothers told us, it was really only a matter of time before the internet made somebody go blind. Given what the web excels at delivering, I guess mom was right when she said — oh, wait. According to China Daily (via Games.com), a man spent four straight days playing online games and suffered temporary blindness. So, he was gaming on the internet, not doing… other stuff.
Four solid days in an internet cafe, without sleep, staring at a monitor, and all he got was temporary blindness? He should count himself lucky. China Daily reports that the gentleman went on his gaming binge after an argument with his wife. Was this an Alliance/Horde situation? Was he trying feverishly to outdo her Bejeweled Blitz score? Maybe his wife is a team-killer.
