Last week, Pastagames announced that its popular (and award winning) DSiWare title Maestro: Jump in Music will be ported to the iPhone as Maestro: Green Grooves, which is set for a release later this month.
The game is a unique combination of the music/rhythm and platforming genres that sees our hero Presto running through levels as you use your finger to play musical notes as he passes by them for perfect pitch. Other rhythm elements come in the form of strumming chords, tapping on enemies in rhythm with the game’s music to defeat them, and otherwise tapping on interactive objects.
Maestro: Green Grooves will only set you back 99 cents, and will, according to Slide to Play, include a free form mode perfect for “talented ones,” that allows you to customize which instruments are used in each level. The game’s developers have also announced the inclusion of a “sing/whistle” mechanic, although the exact details of what exact role your voice will play in the game have yet to be revealed.
Here’s a new video for the game, for those who are interested in learning more.
