As reported by Bloomberg.com, EA Sports president Peter Moore has announced that Playfish, which EA purchased for $400 million last year, will be creating a version of Madden that will be playable on Facebook.
Moore confirmed that whatever the Facebook version of Madden ends up including, that it will be a “simpler experience” than the complex console versions, which is “more accessible” to users. Seems like a perfect project for Playfish then, as the creators of Restaurant City and Pet Society have proven that they know how to make casual gaming experiences that people want to play.
Other than the basic announcement that a Madden Facebook game is coming, details are basically nonexistent at this point. More details are sure to be released in the coming weeks, and when they are, we’ll let you know.
