With the economy in its current state, most everyone would appreciate the opportunity to save a little money. Thanks to companies like Groupon and LivingSocial Deals, people can do just that, all while keeping in contact with Facebook.
Both websites integrate Facebook Connect, allowing users to browse their websites while logged into their Facebook account, thereby giving them the opportunity to share any deals they might find on their news feed, where others can pick up on them, comment on their potential purchases, and so on.
The deals are sorted geographically, making searching for relevant deals a much more intuitive affair, and in the case of LivingSocial, there is an added incentive of sharing your bargains with others, as you receive an extra deal each time you can get three of your friends to buy the same deal as you.
While there are dozens more coupon and deal related websites available for browsing, at least in these two cases, having the ability to share and discuss them with friends (perhaps even ask for advice over which brand is best, or those to avoid) looks to make the process much more entertaining.
