As reported by Vertical Wire the upcoming XBLA puzzle-platformer LIMBO, developed by TriplePoint client Playdead, will be playable at the 2010 Nordic Game conference. The conference is taking place April 27-30 in Copenhagen, and on the 29th at 11:30 AM Playdead game designer Jeppe Carlsen will be speaking about LIMBO exclusively. The session will focus on the delicate balance between accessibility, difficulty, and fun puzzle design. Folks who can’t make it to Nordic Game are in luck; the LIMBO demo will also be available for play at the Cop3nhag3n Robot festival, happening at Axeltorv Square from April 30-May 2 and absolutely free to all attendees.
You might be familiar with LIMBO already; the game was playable at GDC back in March, and nominated for several awards in the Independent Games Festival. The black and white indie title has an ominous look to it, fitting for the game’s name, and puts the player in control of a young boy struggling to determine the fate of his sister. The game is a puzzle platformer that takes place at the edge of hell, limbo. LIMBO will be out on XBOX Live Arcade this summer, and you can check out the teaser trailer and more concept art here.
