iPhone, Mobile

Released by FunMobility, Likwid hopes to be the next big rhythm/music game on the iPhone. Following in the footsteps of games like Tap Tap Revenge, Likwid contains a simple music puzzler theme, that combines artists ranging from The Allman Brothers and the Grand Funk Railroad to Maroon 5 and Ok Go on its soundtrack.

Here’s the gist of gameplay, straight from the app’s description in the App Store:

“The main objective of the game is to fill targets, called ‘Collectors’. There are various types of tools called ‘Affectors’ that can change the direction, speed and color of the streams. When a Collector is filled with the stream an individual track will play. Once you have filled all collectors the entire song will play and the puzzle is solved advancing the player to the next puzzle.”

Each of the game’s songs is attached to five different puzzles. As you complete levels and listen to songs, the game will suggest that you travel over to iTunes to purchase the songs in full. The game’s artist selection is already highly varied, but is set to expand via future updates and an in-game store. As reported by Mobile Entertainment, here’s the full lists of artists already available in the game:
