A few weeks ago, TriplePoint client Paradox Interactive put a smooth, jazzy blip on our radar by unveiling perhaps the coolest game trailer ever conceived. Today, the game on display, Leviathan: Warships, has made its way to both Apple and Android tablets, delivering the turn-based tactical goodness it promised. Again, though, that’s not really why I want to talk to you about it. Yes, the clever combo of asychronous planning and simultaneous real-time execution of the game’s naval combat is lovely, and it’s got cross-platform play so you can go hull-to-hull with folks on PC and Mac, or Android vs. iPad, etc. That’s not important. This is important:
In response to popular demand, Paradox also announced that the jazz music and smooth-talking, smooth-sailing personality from the Leviathan: Warships trailers will appear inside the game in a free DLC pack.
Now you have permission to be excited. Full details are here, a new trailer is below, and the game’s out today for tablets. I may just jazz in my pants.
