On Tuesday the LEGO Group announced the release date for the US, UK and Western Europe release of the upcoming game LEGO Universe, a TriplePoint client. LEGO fans will be able to play the MMOG starting on the October 12th Founders launch, and the official release will come two weeks later on the 26th.

The Founders release will be sold exclusively through LEGO, available at venues like LEGO stores, the LEGO Online Shop, and LEGOLAND. The official release will be sold in other retail channels through Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game, which allows players to explore an entirely LEGO world, will be available for both PC and Mac.

Lego Universe is a dream for LEGO fans with a robust building system designed to allow players to build anything they can think of and bring it to life using basic programming. If you’re at E3 you can check out a preview of the game at the Warner Bros. booth (South Hall #2401).
