iPhone, Mobile

In a time when children are becoming more and more familiar with technology, Nickelodeon has decided to release a new iPhone app for fans of their annual Kids’ Choice Awards, that will allow users to get an onstage or backstage look at the awards show, while it’s happening live.

The app allows users to vote for their favorites in the show’s award categories as well, which, as reported by All Headline News, include Favorite TV Show, Favorite Movie, Actor, and Actress, among others.

The 2010 Kids’ Choice Awards will air live on March 27 on Nickelodeon, and during that time, users will be able to view backstage and orange carpet (as opposed to red carpet) video feeds, shot by one of three specific cameras that are being used for the app, and switch between these feeds whenever they wish.

Two added elements include interactive polls that kids can vote on, and the display of fun facts about the stars as the show airs. To pick up the free app, head over to Nick Kid's Choice Awards
