Yesterday, D3Publisher announced Kid Adventures: Sky Captain for the Nintendo Wii. The game allows both young players and families alike to control their own planes as they take to the skies in over 40 missions including sky races, stunt flying, target shooting, and treasure hunting, all in the hope of becoming Gloster Island’s Sky Captain.

The game allows you to unlock unique aircraft, including jet planes and UFOs in both cooperative or head-to-head multiplayer modes. Players will explore themed items concerning tropical pirate ships, dinosaurs, marine life and more.

“We have had the privilege of working on several phenomenal kids’ titles and are thrilled to addKid Adventures: Sky Captain to our roster for 2010,” said Bill Anker, vice president of business development and licensing, D3P, via a company press release. “This is one of the few flight games releasing on Wii that offers an entertaining and unique experience for all ages.”

Kid Adventures: Sky Captain will be released sometime this summer at the budget friendly price of $19.95.
