Jailbroken iPads Now Have Mouse Support

So, sure, the iPad is a touch screen device and likely every app is intended to work with just your finger or hand in mind. However, if you wanted to use your iPad for production purposes there are alternatives for keyboard support including the official keyboard dock or the ClamCase we told you about yesterday.

However, there is no option for mouse support until now. You will need a jailbroken iPad and the BTstack application which is traditionally an iPhone app but works perfectly with the iPad. Engadget posted about this newfound mouse support and commented “Mind you, while this implementation does look quite useful, we do detect the barest hint of lag — so it may not be your weapon of choice for pixel-doubled Doom sessions.”
