With so many games being released on the iTunes app store, it’s sometimes hard to keep up with which ones you should or shouldn’t be playing on your iPhone. Thankfully, we have the review round-up to show you the best games available on the app store, complete with summaries and reviews from all around the web.
The objective proposed in ISUD is very simple, in that you simply have to dodge wave after wave of bullets that are constantly being thrown your way along with every other direction. To play, you simply just slide your finger around the screen as necessary to keep your ship out of harm’s way (if at all possible) while pushing the bomb button once in a while to keep the enemies at bay.
In their review, AppSpy said the game is beautiful but comes at the cost of only being playable on newer devices. “Still, ISUD is an excellent abstract shooter and definitely worth picking up for fans of games like rRootage.”
Rating: 4 out of 5.
Much like ISUD, R-Type is a shooter, but rather a horizontal variety that has a classic franchise that dates back quite a few years to back it up. To say the game is simply “hard” is actually quite the understatement as it is considered to be a rather grand achievement if you manage to conquer this title.
In their review, PocketGamer said the game “plays well enough to incite that pleasurable sort of pain that only a fan could enjoy. Accommodations made with the hope of attracting new followers are welcome, however unlikely they are to succeed.”
