Is Pairing a DSi XL and America’s Test Kitchen a Recipe for Success?

Casual, Handheld

Nintendo’s DSi XL launched last weekend, and with it came America’s Test Kitchen: Let’s Get Cooking, which contains 300 recipes, ranging from appetizers to desserts, that will apparently please almost anyone. To be clear, this isn’t so much a game as it is a reason for housewives and the cooking-inept to prepare dishes with the help of clear instructions, and without having to drag out an old cookbook.

As reported by Kotaku, Nintendo has used America’s Test Kitchen as an example of why the larger screens of the DSi XL are important – they allow more than one user to comfortably view the screen at once, and, in this case, view the recipe as well.

Kotaku took the software for a test run, answering a challenge set out from Nintendo to use the cookbook to prepare a complete meal, from appetizer to dessert, while using the DSi XL. You can see the results of their challenge in the video posted on their website by clicking here.
