Frisky Misc, Industry

Yes, Google is still focused on search and every single one of their “other” products all come back to that one key landmark. Over the years, Google has dipped their hand into web browsing, operating systems, shopping, social networking and more. According to IndustryGamers, Google may be dipping their hand into the gaming industry.

The news dropped because of Google recently posting a job opening for “Project Management Leader, Games” which bears the description of a person who will “be responsible for developing Google’s games commerce product strategy and partnering to build and manage the business with a cross-functional team.”

The job posting along with Google’s hiring of Mark DeLoura as their Developer Advocate that is “looking forward to working with both traditional games companies and new game developers to talk about how Google can help, and the platforms and projects Google is working on,” really are beginning to show that Google has more than just a mild interest in gaming.

As for what all of this will culminate in is unknown but I’m sure that Google will likely have an excellent plan to put the new idea into as many hands as possible.
