Not enough games for your Palm Pre? Palm thinks they may have the answer in their latest PDK (Plug-in Development Kit) which is a part of the WebOS SDK and the hope is to bring better games to all current WebOS devices. This move has been announced for a few months so it’s nice to see it coming to fruition quickly.
Technically, the move means developers can now use C, C++ and OpenGL in their games. In layman, all this means is these developers can use programming languages that they have been using for years leading to better developed games with more features. Also, these languages are already in use on the iPhone which could prove to be an easy way for games to be ported to WebOS.
The new PDK has already proved useful for such giants as EA and Gameloft with both offering games that use the new PDK. The rest of the games will be playable later this year when WebOS receives an update to play them.
