iPad Sales Staying Strong, 2 Million Now Sold

iPad, Mobile

Just a little less than one month after the iPad hit the one million mark on iPads sold, Apple is now reporting that the hot new device has hit 2 million sold. That is 2 million in under 60 days since the launch.

Last week, we reported how the device was selling like hotcakes, and even outselling Apple’s Mac brand handily. Over this past weekend, the iPad also became available to international markets which VentureBeat suggests helped drive it straight over the 2 million mark easily.

Sales of the device are obviously very strong, yet VentureBeat also believes that developer support does not appear to be following suit with the iPhone. Then again, the data received could be inaccurate about the number of apps currently on the iPad app store.
