iPad, iPhone App Stores Split in iTunes

iPad, iPhone, Mobile

In the latest version of iTunes, 9.1, the new iPad apps were made available to purchase right on your PC or Mac. Of course, this would not be without its changes and a few were made concerning the App store according to Mashable.

On the main page of the App store, there are now two tabs at the top to denote the iPad and iPhone making it easier to search and find apps for each individual platform. However, the disadvantage to a segregated store is that you will have to start a search over if you want to look at an iPad app from the iPhone app store. The opposite is true when viewing an iPad app as both version will show on the app’s page. This makes sense as both versions will work on the iPad but only the iPhone version will work on the iPhone.
