iFarm Reaping Rewards of iPhone App Store

Tue, Dec 1, 2009

Industry, iPhone

playmesh_ifarmSocial gaming startup, Playmesh released iFarm for the iPhone just 10 days ago, and already the iPhone farming game has been downloaded 1 million times – making it the #1 game on the App Store. iFarm is a free app, so Playmesh isn’t necessarily raking in the dough, but with the ridiculous number of new apps available, reaching the coveted #1 spot this soon is still success worth touting.

This is not the first taste of success for the small company though… Playmesh has had 6 top 25 games since they started in January. 23-year-old UCLA graduate and Playmesh CEO Charles Ju told MobileCrunch that they have 5 million users and 10 million downloads to-date. Playmesh develops exclusively on the iPhone, and generates between $0.50-$1 Average Revenue per User.
