From the folks at MaxNick.com comes iCurling for the iPhone. If you were one of the people that first became properly introduced to Curcling as a sport in this year’s Olympics, the game will allow you to continue your learning experience with the sport right in the palm of your hand.
Curling in general challenges you with getting as many stones as close as possible to the center of the House (the target) as possible, while at the same time trying to remove your competitor’s stones from the equation, even if it means sacrificing a stone or two of your own.
The game allows you to tap and drag your finger on the screen to control the direction and speed of your launch, and after the stone has been set into motion, you’ll be able to drag your finger across the ice in front of the stone to smooth it out, and alter the distance that your stone ultimately travels.
The gameplay continues for ten ends (think of them like innings in baseball, where each team has an independent opportunity to change the potential points on the ice) and the team with the most points wins.
If you’d like to try iCurling for yourself, you can download it from iTunes for $0.99. ![]()
