Can you see it? The light at the end of the tunnel, shining off of the brand spanking new iPad? If not, look closer, as the iPad is a day away from launching. With that in mind, here’s a miniature round-up of sorts, with three games that you can look forward to getting your hands on when the tablet launches tomorrow.
Frogger Pad – Just the name of its sounds appropriate. Get it? Pad = Lily pad… frogs? Sorry, cheesy pun. Frogger Pad is a new iteration of the classic gameplay formula that sees you guiding our favorite frog to safety across busy streets and rushing waters. The game includes Facebook Connectivity, allowing you to challenge your friends to beat your high scores, as well as brag about your own personal highs with the game.
Metal Gear Solid Touch – Based on Metal Gear Solid: Guns of the Patriots, Konami is set to bring this step of the franchise to the iPad to offer fans of the MGS universe with a unique touch-shooting experience.
Top Gun – Top Gun for the iPad includes a redesigned user interface with an increased resolution, when compared to the standard iPhone version of the game. The game sees you enrolling in flight school, where Maverick and Iceman will help you compete to become the next Top Gun. There are 15 different missions to complete, incoming air-to-air and surface-to-air missiles to avoid, a real day and night cycle based on the system’s internal clock, unlockable content, and even Easter Eggs like a volleyball mini-game, as seen in the Top Gun film. This iPad version also contains exclusive new content not found in the iPhone version of the game. Top Gun will cost $4.99.
Be on the lookout for these new games when you’re giving your new iPad a go this weekend!
