At the first of March, Zynga launched a poll on its Cafe World forums asking players to choose from a list of potential “lost recipes” that would either join or replace Grandma’s Lost Apple Pie recipe. The poll (which is still available to view) has a clear standout in the form of Grandpa’s Finger Lickin’ BBQ Ribs, and it just so happens that that lost recipe has now gone live in the game.
As with Grandma’s Apple Pie, you’ll be alerted by Grandpa that this lost recipe needs one extra ingredient before it can be cooked. Where Grandma’s recipe needed love, here, the recipe calls for a barrel of “Sweet Sassafrass,” [sic] and it’s up to your friends to help you find some. This is achieved by posting a call for help on your wall, and hoping that your friends click the appropriate link to help you out.
If they do, they’ll be taken to a page where they’re giving a choice as to whether to eat just a single rib or eat the entire platter. If they choose the latter, they’ll go straight to their cafe; choose the former, and they’ll be rewarded with 50 Cafe Points (the game’s experience points) and will be able to send ribs to friends for them to try as well.
When you go to your cafe, you’ll also have a set of ribs in your gift box just as you did with Grandma’s Apple Pie. There are 8 servings of ribs that sell for 100 coins per serving, for a total of 800 coins.
Make sure to keep an eye out for this new feature the next time you play the game.
