iPhone, Mobile

Triplepoint client Fabrication Games’ The Game Trail app has proved to be quite the successful app in helping gamers find the best games possible on the iPhone. While the service hasn’t quite reached 100,000 users yet, the developers are hoping to hit that very soon. The free app is designed to be a guide of sorts for the iPhone gaming world in which players can access gameplay videos and rankings of many gameplay videos. Since the service launched, The Game Trail has surpassed 500,000 video plays and over 10,000 iTunes App Store purchases have been made from using the app.

Along with the announcement of success, there is also a new update for The Game Trail which addresses a few issues such as performance, better graphical presentation, faster speeds, improved search and better network performance. Along with these nice upgrades, the top 250 list also received an overhaul which now shows number rankings next to each game.

The founder of The Game Trail believes that “The Game Trail teaches us new things about App Store shoppers every day,” and that they “learn how users navigate the app and what features and games they gravitate towards. We also learn what keeps users coming back and how we can best connect prospective buyers with games they will enjoy. After all, our purpose is to guide shoppers to the best content and generate sales for the best developers.”

Essentially, if you play a lot of games on the iPhone, you’re really going to want to grab yourself a copy of the app right about now. The database is available on The Game Trail website, Facebook or on the app itself.
