Touch Arcade recently took a look at Daisy Mae’s Alien Buffet, IUGO’s highly accessible dual-stick shooter for the iPhone.
The game plays like a classic B-movie, with Daisy Mae running around in Daisy Dukes as she annihilates wave after wave of aliens (the designs of which are equally over the top) with her arsenal of weapons (dual Tommy guns, a ninja star shooter, and so on).
While dual-stick shooters are inherently easy to jump into, regardless of previous skill level, Daisy Mae’s Alien Buffet is even more so due to the inclusion of three different control options. In addition to the standard dual-stick control layout, there is an option to use a single stick for movement and the press of a button to fire, along with a final, even more intuitive option that allows you to simply move Daisy around while the game takes care of constant weapons fire.
The game packs a lot of additional content into its $1.99 package, including an in-depth stat tracker and a taunt system that will apparently kill all enemies on screen when activated. If you’d like to try your hand at this survival-horror shooter, head over to iTunes and get a copy for yourself.
