Well, since they added Facebook
I’ve found a new place to dwell
It’s a virtual world that’s geared toward teens
Called Habbo Hotel.
Apologies to Mr. Presley aside, the news (via Inside Social Games) that Habbo Hotel now utilizes Facebook Connect provides online hoteliers with a new outlet for their in-game endeavors. Habbo users can now drop a post in their Facebook feeds when they’ve built new rooms, sent gifts, or other such activities — a form of increased awareness and user evangelism which has proved quite successful for many other games, both on and off of Facebook.
Habbo Hotel has an existing audience of 15 million, but with Facebook’s 350 million now able to receive curiosity-piquing messages about their friends’ hotel habits, let’s hope nobody’s reservations get double-booked. I paid for a double, sir, and I will not accept this single bed next to the ice machine.
