Guitar Hero Now Rocking on iPhone

iPhone, Mobile

Right now, you can jam on with Guitar Hero for iPhone for just $2.99. The new rhythm game was announced during Apple’s WWDC conference yesterday in the same keynote that brought us the iPhone 4.

Being one of the hottest selling game franchises right now, it’s no surprise we’d see it on the iPhone at some point. Guitar Hero has sold $2 billion in revenue since the first game in 2005. Apparently many people want to be rock stars, but just don’t have the spunk to be a real one.

In the iPhone game, you tap and strum along to the tunes just like many of the other guitar apps currently available. Along with the gameplay portion, you can also create a virtual avatar to rock along with. There are plenty of songs to choose from within the app, with many more being available for an in-app purchase and download.
