It’s probably best to recognize 2009′s best work before we’re too far into 2010, and another awards program — namely, the Global Mobile Awards by the GSMA and Mobile World Congress — has their list of nominees whittled down. Seeking to “showcase the latest mobile products, services and initiatives to the world,” the Global Mobile Awards will be given out during the MWC’s event in Barcelona, in February.

Of course, one can’t deny the innovations that gaming has seen on mobile devices, and there are nominees for games and entertainment apps. In the three entertainment categories, the nominees are:
