Mobile app store GetJar, an aggregator that promotes apps and games on just about every mobile operating system has recently landed a new round of funding in $11 Million of capital financing from Accel Partners.
Since 2005, San Mateo-based GetJar has offered over 65,000 applications across almost every major platform. As of now, the company claims that is the number two app store behind iTunes and has also served over 1 billion downloads.
While it is not known at this time what GetJar will use this new funding for, I’m willing to bet we’ll find out soon enough.
