The GetGlue app for iPhone looks to be a “foursquare” of sorts, but instead of being an app for checking in at different locations, this app looks to be a check-in hub for Movies, TV Shows, Music, Games and Books.
GetGlue defines itself as being a social network for entertainment and continually promoted the fact that it harbors over 1.5 million ratings of unique content. According to Social Times, GetGlue will recommend new titles for you to check out based on what you have rated in the past and overall popularity.
Just like Foursquare, you will earn badges and points for checking-in to whichever entertaining activity you are doing at the time. The nice thing about GetGlue that helps its position is its partnerships with companies like Warner Bros, Wired, PBS, Universal, Showtime and more.
Sounds neat and an app I will definitely grab once I can get my grubby hands on an iPhone 4.
