Casual, Handheld

Photo Dojo for the Nintendo DSi makes extensive use of the system’s built-in camera and microphone to allow players to customize their gameplay. Currently the game is free on DSiWare, but that will change starting on June 10th when it jumps up to 200 Nintendo DSi Points.

The game is very simple but makes for some cheap laughs, especially if you work with a friend to create your moves and then show them off. Photo Dojo is a side scrolling fighting game, so when you start your photo shoot keep in mind that what your pictures will turn into are fighting moves and special powers. For example, take a picture of yourself doing an impressive kick for a kick attack and take a picture of something really wild and bizarre for your “fireball” move. You can also record your own sounds, dialog, and taunts to be used in the game.

Starting Thursday the game will cost money, so if you want to give it a shot make sure you grab it before then.
