While there are already a few Last Vegas themed games on Facebook, TriplePoint client Last Legion Games has been busy working with Landry’s, the holding company of Las Vegas’ Golden Nugget to produce a new game for Facebook, appropriately titled Golden Nugget Vegas Casino.
The game has already racked up over 130,000 users, and sees you creating your own casino filled with blackjack tables, roulette wheels, video poker machines, and of course the almighty slot machine. Machines and tables can be most easily compared to attractions in games like Tiki Resort or Happy Island, in that, after being setup, they will run automatically for varying amounts of time (it depends on the item) before they need to be “cashed out.” That is, you’ll have to come back to the game every so often to collect your profits from your machines or tables.
It should be noted that the quickest cash-out time in the game is a mere 30 seconds, so you could continually play the game without running out of things to do, so long as you were content cashing out and restarting slot machines indefinitely.
As you earn experience points and funds, you’ll be able to use your profits to purchase new tables and slot machines, with new items unlocking as you level up. At first, you start with nothing but a simple slot machine, but within the first two levels will have access to poker, blackjack and even roulette.
If you’d like to play any of these games for yourself, you can do so by simply heading over to a friends’ casino and playing on their machines or tables. Luckily, all users start out with the computer character “Ace” as their default friend, which will allow all players to play these casino mini-games, whether they have real world friends that play or not.
In addition to adding functional items to your casino, you can customize its general appearance by adding new floor tiles, wallpapers, decorations and so on, just as you can with most other Facebook simulation titles.
As you play you’ll unlock rewards for completing various tasks (think achievements, if you will) – you’ll receive experience points and monetary bonuses for completing these. Additionally, while not currently available, casino expansions will eventually allow you to add more space to your casino, and you will apparently be able to customize the look of your avatar as well.
If you’d like to test your luck in the world of Golden Nugget Vegas Casino, head over to the game’s page on Facebook. Also be sure to check out our Frisky Hands-On of the game below to see exactly what to expect from the game should you choose to make the trip to Vegas.
