Facebook is fast becoming a standard destination for companies to either bring new customers in with a fan page or to bring their entire business to the network via a completely functional application. Triplepoint client GamersGate has done just that with their newly launched Facebook application.
Now you can not only browse the entire GamersGate catalog but you can also share your favorites with your friends and check out the latest deals on awesome games. The landing of the application shows a list of games that are currently on sale, featured titles such as new releases, the most popular titles along with the newest game in the store.
Once you’ve clicked on a game, you are taken to its page where you can comment on a game, share the game with your friends, add the game to your favorites list. You may also like the game, so you may track updates to that game specifically. You may also see your friends’ activity on GamersGate such as their ratings and purchases if they choose to share them with you.
From the application, you may also purchase games by adding them to your cart. Checkout is still done using the GamersGate.com website, so it’s not fully integrated with Facebook entirely but this could change in the future.
