Gameloft, French publisher of dozens of iPhone / iPod Touch apps all released within the last year, has released its year-end sales figures.
With licensed titles in its lineup like Avatar and Derek Jeter’s Real Baseball, entries in the Earthworm Jim and Settlers franchises, along with plenty of original IP, the company was able to see a 230% increase in App Store sales, according to MCV.
That 230% increase translates to a total of over $25 million, and sales that were, overall, up 11% from last year.
Unfortunately, data from Q4 suggests a sales loss of 6% when compared to the year before, but when all is said and done, the year ended on a strong note for Gameloft, proving that their move from the boxed retail sector to focus entirely on mobile games was a smart one.
