FreeAppADay for 2/2/10: Match Magic

Casual, iPhone, Mobile

We remarked yesterday that every FreeAppADay we had received so far had been a game, and it looks like the streak has finally been broken. Today’s free download is still game-like, in a sense, but is actually an educational application: Match Magic, from anusen.com, is designed to amuse and teach gamers from ages 3 to 5. Assuming you’re okay with your pre-schooler playing with your $300 phone, Match Magic will allow them to drag lines and make matches between friendly pictures, while also teaching them a bit of math and visual skills.

Trace a line between the picture and the matching color, or the number of objects in the picture, and a friendly voice will reply, “Fantastic!” or “You’re awesome!” Miss a match, and the voice encourages, “Try again!” or “You can do it!”
