How were your snowboarding escapades yesterday? Did you conquer the mountain? Run into any bears? Of course you didn’t run into any bears — if you had, they would have shot you repeatedly in the face and we wouldn’t be having this conversation. At least, that’s what I’m led to understand by today’s FreeAppADay, Battle Bears 1.5 from SkyVu Pictures. But don’t blame Battle Bears’ protagonist, Oliver, for having violent tendencies. It’s merely his animal instincts at work, which in the wild, help him to destroy the cheerful pink teddy bears which want to hug him to death.
Battle Bears utilizes a dual-touch control scheme to allow Oliver’s hail of bullets to fly; sweep one finger to rotate and tilt your aim, and tap with your other finger to fire. Soon, huge gaping wounds will be gushing rainbows everywhere. It’s exactly as awesome as it sounds, complete with OpenFeint support and a mess of updated weaponss and boss battles.
