Did you enjoy Cocoto Kart? Perhaps you discovered just how much you enjoy going around in circles and shooting at things. If that’s the case, have I got an iPhone game for you: Today’s FreeAppADay is Kryzer, an orbital shooter from FDG Entertainment.

Kryzer’s simple graphics and minimal controls may give it the appearance of a shallow title, but don’t be fooled: The orbital gameplay, Kryzer’s main wrinkle, takes a reasonable amount of skill to adapt to. Your ship, which is constantly firing, travels at a fixed rate of speed in a clockwise direction around the circular play area, and all you can control is its distance from the center. You’ll need to duck inward to quickly fly around to the other side of the field, and then swoop back out to blast enemies — and do it fast, because the timer is constantly ticking down, and enemies provide valuable extra seconds.
