iPhone, Mobile

Today’s free iPhone app at is Tap Fish, from BayViewLabs.

The game resembles Facebook games like Happy Aquarium and FishVille in both its design and its gameplay. Tap Fish allows you to build and fill your own aquarium. You’ll buy different species of colorful fish, feed them, and watch them grow, only to sell them for a profit when they grow up. You can clean up after your fish as the tank gets dirty, and buy decorations to customize the look of your tank, with all of your actions earning you experience points towards an overall level in the game.

There are two different types of currency in the game (one standard currency of coins, and another premium currency of cash), and you’ll be able to tweak various settings in the game, like turning off the music or otherwise customize your gameplay experience.

The game features 13 starter fish, more than 25 different options for exotic marine life (killer whales, sharks, stingrays, etc.), and almost 20 different backgrounds to add to your tank. There are over 75 decorations to purchase, and you can use those decorations in up to 80 tanks as you level up to the game’s current level cap of 80.

Make sure to download Tap Fish today.
