FreeAppADay for 09/10/10: Sushi Cat

iPhone, Mobile

Today’s free iPhone app at FreeAppADay.com is Sushi Cat, from Armor Games.

The game places you in the role of Sushi Cat, a very lonely, and very hungry little kitty. It’s your job to guide Sushi Cat through the game’s 15 levels by eating all of the sushi you can grab. This is done via a system that greatly resembles the game of Plinko, for those that are familiar with that particular game on the Price is Right.

You’ll tap and drag Sushi Cat left and right across the screen, and you’ll release your hold to send Sushi Cat falling down the screen, bounding into and off of obstacles, walls, and so on, collecting the loose pieces of sushi that you bump into along the way. At the bottom of the screen are several containers, each with a bonus score. If you can land in the very middle of the screen (much more luck than skill), you’ll earn more points than if you land on the outskirts.

You’ll gain point multipliers as your belly fills, with each level having a set number of sushi pieces that you must eat in order to pass. You’ll also gain bonus points if you manage to clear out each and every piece of sushi in a level.

There are 3 bonus levels to play in, and Sushi Cat supports multitasking in case you get interrupted by a phone call.

Make sure to download Sushi Cat while the app is free today.
